Decadent Theatre Company presents the world premiere of
Finding Sophie
by Christian O’Reilly
directed by Andrew Flynn
Their story touched hearts in ‘Sanctuary’. Now, the journey continues.
In 2012, Christian O’Reilly’s award-winning ‘Sanctuary’, produced by Blue Teapot Theatre Company, captivated audiences with its depiction of a sexual relationship between Larry and Sophie – two people with intellectual disabilities (ID), played by actors with ID.
Now, Christian O’Reilly returns with a compelling sequel.
Larry and Sophie haven’t seen each other in 13 years. Following the death of his father, Larry is moving into his uncle Gerry’s house. With newfound freedom, and away from parental disapproval, Larry is driven by a powerful desire: to find Sophie. Their reunion ignites a shared dream of a life together, but can their love truly flourish in a world seemingly determined to keep them apart?
A testament to love, courage and the enduring power of the heart, don’t miss this poignant next chapter.
