Jack O’Dowd

Jack graduated in 2013 with a MA in Classical and Contemporary Text (Acting) from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Prior to this he graduated from the Institute of Technology, Sligo with a BA Hons in Performing Arts. As part of his training he also studied in The Globe Theatre, London, as well as the AquilaMorong Acting Studio in Los Angeles. Jack has been involved in many shows, both in Ireland and the UK since 2007. Some credits include; Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind with Bedlam Theatre, Edinburgh, playing the role of Melchoir. A Terrible Beauty by Ian Pattison with A Play, a Pie and a Pint in The Oran Mór, Glasgow, playing Private Corry. Our Country’s Good by Timberlake Wertenbaker with The Tron Theare, Glasgow playing James ‘Ketch’ Freeman and Major Robbie Ross. His
Irish credits include; most recently, Vernon God Little by DBC Pierre with Decadent Theatre Company, Tribes Alive Galway by Pádraic Breathnach in association
with Failte Ireland and The Galway Arts Centre and The Adventures of Shay Mouse by Pat McCabe, with Galway Community Theatre. This is Jack’s second show with
Decadent Theatre Company, and he is very excited to once again be part of such a fantastic project with a very talented cast and crew.
