Lesley Conroy

Lesley Conroy is a graduate of Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College Dublin and completed a one-year physical training residency with Loose Canon Theatre Company. Theatre credits include: Turaiocht Fibin (Mikel Murfi), Snake Eaters (The New Theatre), Eden (Decadent), King Lear (Second Age), Top Girls (Gallowglass), The Duchess of Malfi and The Spanish Tragedy (Loose Canon), Animal Farm and A Clockwork Orange (Corcadorca). She has also appeared in many Irish language productions with Aisling Ghear. Work for the Abbey Theatre includes: En Suite, Something’s in the Way, Cuirt an Mhean Oiche and Caoineadh Airt Ui Laoghaire. TV roles include – For RTE: Aoife O’Neill in Fair City, Detective Sharon Kelly in Mattie, Striking Out, The Clinic and The Big Bow Wow – For TG4: The Running Mate, Fir Bolg – For TV3: School Run. This autumn she will appear in Sharon Horgan’s new comedy Women on the Verge and will play Celia Harrison in Hugh LaneĆ­s biopic Citizen Lane on RTE. Films include The Cured, Life’s a Breeze, An Creatur, Strength and Honour, Angela Mooney Dies Again, The Hideaways and Love Rosie. She received an IFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Eilish Moore in the film version of Eugene O’Brien’s Eden. Radio work includes the title role in John B. Keane’s Sive for RTE Radio.
